About Compassion Crossing, LLC

Vision: To create a Kentucky non-profit organization that provides end-of-life support to everyone, regardless of their ability to pay.

Mission: No one should face life’s hardest moments, especially death and dying, without compassionate support.

Position Statement: We support families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals through life’s most difficult transitions by providing compassionate education, practical guidance, and peaceful presence when someone they love is chronically or terminally ill.

Background on what led to the establishment of Compassion Crossing, LLC: My name is Peter Abraham. Life taught me about pain and struggle early on, but when I found Christ Jesus at 28, everything changed. At 50, I became a nurse, working in different areas of healthcare. My true calling came when I discovered hospice and palliative care.

These experiences led me to become an end-of-life doula. I believe in meeting people exactly where they are, without judgment, and with unconditional love. I help people navigate life’s big transitions—whether they’re healthy, living with chronic illness, facing terminal illness, or approaching death.

Who We Help

We work with people and organizations who want to reduce fear and worry through education and hands-on support.

Organizations We Serve: Healthcare teams, social workers, and other professionals who work with hospice, palliative care, and home health services. These are individuals who care for others during both healthy times and times of illness.

Individuals and Families We Support:

  • People who want advance care plans to feel more prepared and less anxious
  • Families learning how chronic or terminal illness changes over time
  • Those looking for comfort methods beyond just medication
  • Anyone trying to coordinate multiple caregivers and healthcare teams at home
  • People who want to create meaningful legacy projects along the way

We believe that with the right education and support, you can feel more confident and peaceful during life’s most challenging moments. Whether you’re planning ahead while healthy or facing illness now, we’re here to help you every step of the way.

What Makes Compassion Crossing Different?

Compassion Crossing, LLC, works closely with home health, palliative care, hospice teams, and other caregivers to bring together all the support you receive. As a life transition guide and doula, we work with others as partners, not competitors.

While hospice and palliative care providers may offer some services like medication review, we provide this from an independent viewpoint. We focus only on what’s best for your loved one, without influence from insurance formularies, costs, referral fees, or other business concerns.

Some clients ask us to help with wound care, medications, or other medical support. We do this by working with the team members who have the medical orders, or as a holistic alternative, by partnering with your providers to get the needed orders.

The biggest difference we offer is time. Most healthcare workers have many patients to see each day and can usually spend only about 30 minutes with each person. Because of our mission and vision, we focus on you, not numbers. We carefully choose our clients so we’re never overwhelmed or understaffed.

We want to be there when you need us and spend the time necessary to help you reach your goals. Whether you need advance care planning, education about hospice and palliative care, training in non-medication comfort methods, caregiver education, legacy projects like photos and videos, or staff training—we have the time to do it right.
