Guiding Life's Journey with Care

Families and healthcare professionals warmly share their experiences with me and Compassion Crossing below. These stories showcase how I genuinely aim to help people feel more prepared, supported, and at peace during life’s most challenging moments. My heartfelt and simple goal is to make each interaction as helpful and meaningful as possible for the wonderful families I have the privilege to serve.
I can’t recommend Peter enough. At the most heartbreaking time in my life, he was there providing the support I had never been able to get before in navigating the system for my Mom. He was such a comfort in a time when I really needed it. — Melissa
“I had the good fortune to meet Peter at a VSED Support Group Zoom session. My son was soon to use VSED to end his suffering from ALS, and I wanted to speak to someone who could help support me emotionally. Peter was a tremendous help, offering me a variety of resources and stories of his experiences helping other families. And, most importantly, Peter is an excellent listener. He heard me, really heard me, and then responded accordingly. What an amazing attribute for this kind of work: helping families at the end of life by listening. I felt so supported and so understood. The end-of-life process for the whole family can be isolating and difficult, but having Peter as your guide can make the experience more bearable; he understands families and how to make this time as peaceful, calm, and loving as possible. I felt stronger and more able to get through it after spending time in conversation with him.” — Faith
“They were very compassionate with every detail regarding our loved one. Ask questions; if they do not have an answer, they will find one. Making your loved one calm, relaxed, and pain-free is beautiful during the storm. Heroes” — Susan
“Peter, I can never express in words what you did to help me with all the unknowns and questions I had as I helped my sweet David transition from this world to his heavenly home. You honestly were a Godsend. I truly cannot imagine going through those days without your guidance, calls, advice, and reassurance. Our story isn’t our story without you in it!” — Kristine
“My father’s nurse, Peter Abraham, showed me how life-changing our role as healthcare providers can be. I am in awe of Peter’s dedication and the grace with which he approached his role as a hospice nurse. His ability to balance his incredible medical expertise with emotional support is a testament to his extraordinary skills and genuine heart.” — Laurie
“I needed to update end-of-life legal documents to meet KY requirements. Thankfully, I learned Compassion Crossing coaches people through this vital yet complex process. Peter Abraham provided all the necessary state-specific information and forms; he empowered me to make end-of-life decisions based on my unique situation and strongly held values, and he stayed in contact until all legal documents were notarized… and beyond. Everyone needs coaching to make vital end-of-life decisions and prepare legally binding documents. Peter is knowledgeable, compassionate, and trustworthy. You are wise to work with Compassion Crossing. They are the best!” — Steve
“I don’t normally write reviews. Peter is the first person I have met with the necessary expertise to help people write an Advance Directive. He helped me think through a lot of issues I would never have thought of. And he provided a LOT of written materials for me to read and review. Highly recommended.“ — Ted
“Highly recommend! Peter is so thoughtful. He offers a valuable service.” — Allisson
“As someone new to the world of Advance Care Directives, I was looking for guidance from someone who really knows the ins and outs of working with people during end-of-life, and most importantly, with thoughtfulness and integrity. Boy, did I find that person in Peter! The course I completed was packed with information from someone who is clearly so knowledgeable and kind when it comes to helping people. Not only was the course thorough and eye-opening, but Peter also made himself available to go over questions and created additional content to clarify points that came up during our conversation, helping others with similar questions. It’s refreshing to know Peter is out in the world doing this important work, and being so generous with his knowledge so that those of us who are also passionate about end-of-life care can do the same! I highly recommend working with Peter!!” — Andrea
“I have been a hospice nurse for 14 years and look forward to reading more of Peter’s material. This man knows his stuff, comes with receipts, and is very sincere. I would love to collaborate with you in some way in the future, Peter! Thanks so much.” — Steph, Hospice RN, CHNP
“Peter Abraham led a continuing education class to our group of Stephen Ministers on the subject of grief. It was full of relevant information on how we can best support our care receivers who are experiencing grief before and after a sick loved one passes away, including how grief shows up among different age groups, including children, and how best to support each age group as they experience grief. It was also very helpful to learn which language is helpful and which is harmful when supporting those who are experiencing loss. Peter was very professional and answered all questions very well. We look forward to having him return to our church very soon.“ — Edwina
“Peter is an exceptional professional. I attended one of his Dementia seminars. I learned so much about how to better care for my loved ones who are currently in the early stages and was even lucky enough to receive one of his books to assist with caregiving for those with dementia. His seminar covered dietary suggestions, local resources, and even homeopathic suggestions. I can only hope that others can see the value in his work!” — Sara
“We had Peter come and do some extra education for our staff. His compassion and insight have leveled up our caregiving skills.” — Ronda S. Martinez, Assistant Director, Visiting Angels, Richmond, KY
