We’re excited to share wonderful news that deepens our ability to serve families during life’s most sacred transitions. Peter Abraham, BSN, RN, has officially become a Certified End-of-Life Doula Specialist through the International Doula Life Movement (IDLM).
What This Means for You
End-of-life doulas provide non-medical support that complements your medical care team. They offer individuals and families emotional, spiritual, and physical support during life’s final transitions. This additional layer of care helps reduce anxiety and helps families feel more confident during difficult times.
Now Peter combines both skills—hospice nursing expertise AND certified doula training. This unique partnership means families receive:
- Clinical knowledge from years of hospice nursing experience
- Compassionate presence through trained doula support techniques
- Complete care that addresses medical, emotional, and spiritual needs
- Continuous support that bridges medical visits and family caregiving
The Training Journey
From April 23, 2025, to July 16, 2025, Peter completed intensive training that included:
- 32 modules of end-of-life doula training covering companionship, emotional support, vigil planning, and grief care
- 7 modules of business training focusing on ethical practice and client relationships
- A comprehensive final exam, where Peter scored 100% on his first attempt
The International Doula Life Movement is recognized as a leading organization in end-of-life doula education, and this certification enhances all the services we already provide.
